Policy Guidelines on Seclusion and Restraint of Mental Health Care Users 2012

To provide guidelines on the use of seclusion and restraint of mental health care users. Seclusion and restraint are regulated by the General Regulations of the Mental Health Care Act No 17 of 2002 to ensure that whenever they are used, appropriate procedures  are  followed  to  prevent  abuse,  injury  and  that  mental  health  care users are treated with dignity and their liberties are not infringed upon.
